Chicken Yakhni Pulao

- 12 pieces of Chicken
- 2 cups Basmati Rice
- 2 medium Onion thin slices
- 1/2 cup Olive Oil
- 2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Whole Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Whole Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Whole Cloves
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 2 Black Cardamoms
Rinse and soak the rice in cold water.
In a large pot, add oil and onions. Fry onions until dark brown.
Once onions are browned, add the salt and all spices and ΒΌ cup water. Cook on medium heat for 2 minute.
Add the chicken and cook on high heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add 4 cups of cold water and bring to a boil.
Once the water is boiled, continue to cook on low heat for 15 minutes.
Add the rice and let the water boil on high heat until the water is almost evaporated.
Serve with Raita
